SvS Minister Buffs and Rotations
During SvS preparation, two minister seats are worth more than anything else your state's President can hand out: the Vice President (+10% research, construction and training speed) and the Minister of Education (+50% training speed, +200 training capacity). A seat's buff goes to the chief who holds it, so most states rotate those seats in short time slots on the days they pay, letting every big spender use their speedups under the buff. This guide covers which seat matters when, and how to run the sign-up.
The six seats
Whoever holds the castle appoints the President, who then fills 6 minister seats. Each buff is stronger while the minister is online:
| Seat | Buff | While online |
|---|---|---|
| Vice President | +10% research, construction and training speed | +15% |
| Minister of Interior | +80% resource production | +120% |
| Minister of Health | +100% healing speed, +5,000 hospital capacity | +150%, +7,500 |
| Minister of Defense | +10% troop Lethality | +15% |
| Minister of Strategy | +5% troop Attack, +2,500 rally capacity | +8%, +3,750 |
| Minister of Education | +50% training speed, +200 training capacity | +75%, +300 |
To hold a seat you need Furnace 16 or higher. How the President is chosen — and why the castle matters — is in the Sunfire Castle guide.
Which seat on which prep day
Each SvS preparation day scores a different kind of activity, so a buff only helps on the days it speeds up what's being scored:
| Prep day | Theme | Seats worth booking |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | City Construction | Vice President |
| Day 2 | Research Day | Vice President |
| Day 3 | Beast Slay | — |
| Day 4 | Hero Development | Vice President, Minister of Education |
| Day 5 | Power Boost | — |
- Vice President — days 1, 2, 4: construction on Day 1, research on Day 2 and training on Day 4.
- Minister of Education — day 4 only, the training day. Its extra training capacity also means bigger batches.
The other four seats don't speed up anything the prep days score, so there's no reason to rotate them for prep.
Why rotations are short
A seat can only have one holder at a time, and the people who want it are the ones about to burn days of speedups. Holding the buff while you finish your upgrades or training is what counts, so states split each day into 30-minute slots — 48 a day per seat — and give each player one or a few slots. Whoever is up gets appointed, finishes their queue, and hands over.
Running a sign-up
Our Ministry Registration tool runs the whole thing without spreadsheets:
- Create a registration with the seats and SvS days you're handing out. Players don't need an account to apply.
- Pick a mode. In waitlist mode players give the hours they're available and you assign the slots; in slot mode they pick exact 30-minute slots themselves, first come first served or with your approval.
- Ask the right questions. Each seat can ask applicants how many days of speedups, Fire Crystals or troop promotions they plan to spend — so the slots go to the players who score the most with them.
- Share the link in alliance chat (Message Templates has a minister sign-up message), then follow the schedule from the manage page or export it as CSV.
All times in the tool are UTC, the same clock the SvS days run on.
Tips for players
- Be ready before your slot. Have your upgrade, research or training queued so you start the second you're appointed.
- Stay online. The buff is stronger while the minister is online.
- Stack it with your own boosts and the day's best activities — the SvS Prep planner shows what each day scores.
- Hand over on time. Rotations only work if everyone does.
