Whiteout Survival Event Calendar
Once a state has settled in, its big events follow a fixed 4-week cycle that repeats all year. Each week has one theme event that runs Monday to Sunday, plus one or two weekend battles. Weeks start on Monday 00:00 UTC, so the same cycle applies whatever your time zone — only the local clock time changes.
Here's where the cycle stands right now:
The four weeks
| Week | Theme event (Mon–Sun) | Battles and events |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Alliance Showdown | Winter Siege (Mon–Sun), Fortress Battles (Fri), Foundry Battle (Sun) |
| 2 | King of the Icefield | Frost Dragon Tyrant (Mon–Sun, every 8 weeks), Flames and Fangs (Mon–Tue), Crazy Joe (Tue & Thu), Frostfire Mine (Tue), Fortress Battles (Fri), Sunfire Castle (internal) (Sat 12:00 UTC), Frost Dragon Tyrant battle (Sun, every 8 weeks) |
| 3 | Alliance Mobilization | Fortress Battles (Fri), Canyon Clash (Sat), Foundry Battle (Sun) |
| 4 | SvS Prep | Icefire Warhymn (Mon–Fri), Flames and Fangs (Mon–Tue), Crazy Joe (Tue & Thu), Frostfire Mine (Tue), Fortress Battles (Fri), SvS Castle Battle (Sat 12:00–17:00 UTC) |
Fortress battles happen every Friday. Foundry, Canyon Clash and Fortress start times are chosen per alliance or per state, so only their day is fixed.
Week 1 — Alliance Showdown
A multi-day points race between alliances: every member's activity scores for the alliance, so the big pushes work best when the alliance times them together. Plan it with the Alliance Showdown planner and read the Showdown guide. The week ends with a Foundry Battle on Sunday — see the Foundry planner.
Week 2 — King of the Icefield
A multi-day, cross-state points competition, then the internal Sunfire Castle battle on Saturday at 12:00 UTC, which decides who appoints the President until the next castle fight. Use the KoI planner and the Sunfire Castle guide.
Week 3 — Alliance Mobilization
Alliance missions ranked in cross-state leagues — see the Alliance Mobilization guide. Saturday brings Canyon Clash (planner) and Sunday another Foundry Battle.
Week 4 — SvS
The State vs State preparation days, each with its own scoring theme, then the SvS castle battle on Saturday, 12:00–17:00 UTC. This is the week your stockpile is for: plan it with the SvS Prep planner, book minister buffs with the SvS Ministers guide, and read SvS Explained for how the phases work.
How to plan around the cycle
- Save for week 4. Speedups, hero shards, Fire Crystals and troops score more in SvS prep than anywhere else. Weeks 1–3 should spend what's left over, not dip into the SvS pile.
- Stockpile the tier below your max. Promoting troops during a points week scores far more than training new ones — the Train vs Promote guide explains why.
- Weekend battles need people online. Foundry, Canyon Clash and the castle battles all reward turnout; post the time early in alliance chat — Message Templates has ready-made announcements that fill in the date for you.
- Bear Trap isn't on the cycle. Bear Hunts run on their own schedule, roughly every two days — see the Bear Trap guide.
New states are different
The cycle above is for established states. A brand-new state runs its own opening events (such as Hall of Chiefs) and some events — Alliance Mobilization among them — come round more often until the state settles into the regular rhythm. The State Timeline shows what unlocks on which server day.
